Australian Coastal Cruise and Learn

During the 2008 Australian Winter, Robinson Cruises will be embarking on a coastal sailing adventure for those wanting to learn the art of sailing – cruising style.

A well kept secret and rarely visited by more than ‘cruisers’, the Queensland coast is a treasure chest of remote uninhabited islands, picturesque headlands, eclectic towns and serene anchorages.

Each trip will give you a chance to explore what it has to offer whilst learning about living aboard, seamanship, navigation and tides, anchoring, boat handling, and trimming the sails.

Trips leave from different destinations along the QLD coast and will be 5 days in duration. Guests will be required to board the yacht Sunday afternoon (3pm) and will be in port by 5pm on the Friday. Each trip has been rated their inshore/offshore status and ‘adventure/challenge’ factor. See the [Trip Dossier] for details.

These trips are ideal for anyone wanting to start to learn sailing or deepen their knowledge of sailing whilst enjoying the many joys of cruising. Robinson Cruises also welcome, and encourage sailing enthusiasts, or people considering the cruising lifestyle to join the trips – after all it’s a great way to go cruising without having to buy your own boat!
